Chromotherapy at Home: Creating a More Intentional Wellness Environment

Healing From Within book and workbook by Dr. Marlene Fuson, BCND

Inspired by the Chromotherapy – Healing with Color Frequencies section of Healing From Within by Dr. Marlene Fuson, BCND.

Color is part of the atmosphere we live in every day. It can make a room feel bright, quiet, warm, focused, spacious, or restorative. Chromotherapy brings intentional attention to that relationship, using color as a complementary wellness cue rather than a medical treatment.

A Grounded Practice

  1. Choose one space where you regularly rest or reflect.
  2. Notice the dominant colors and the quality of the light.
  3. Introduce one small color element that feels supportive.
  4. Observe the atmosphere for a week without demanding a particular outcome.

Approach the practice with curiosity rather than pressure. A complementary wellness tool should support awareness and informed choice, not replace appropriate professional care or promise a guaranteed result.

Reflection for the Week

Which colors help you feel most like yourself, and where could you use them more intentionally?

Write for five minutes without editing yourself. Then choose one small, realistic action that reflects what you learned.
